The hotel was clean and quite nice. We had a lake view room, which was fantastic. The young woman at the front desk had to have been the best part. She was so kind and helpful for getting us settled. I will be coming back to stay here again.

Clean and comfortable rooms and comfortable stay! Staff were very accommodating and good amenities at the hotel. The continental breakfast is a nice touch! Access to the waterpark was enjoyable for our family. Would not change a thing and would plan a trip back. Town of Mackinaw should consider more businesses to stay open during the slow season to help foster more tourists to visit during this time.

First room the heat was not working we were moved quickly into another room which maintenance made sure the heater worked. Thought room was semi cleaned there was trash on top of cabinet and cookie crumbs on carpet telling me housekeeping needs to do a better job. Employees were very helpful and pleasant. Continental breakfast was yummy. No microwave in rooms!

Price was good off season, a little pricey in the summer. Rooms are nice sized and clean. Hotel could use a little maintenance. Mismatched paint, broken trim, ripped carpet. I have stayed there before and will stay there again.

We loved the place, the room was clean and the furniture in good shape, we also had a tereace with an amazing view of the lake, and free breakfast, which we were really thankful for since there are not many places around where you can get food, much less in the early morning. I took one star off for a few reasons: the tv wasn't working (the maintanence person took care of it though). When it comes to the breakfast, the pancakes were on the colder side, actually the edges were very dry and hard, I wish they would include scrambled eggs, but overall, a decent variety and we were able to have a good satisfiying meal. Last, and I guess my biggest critique, they need to re-paint the parking spots lines, people park their cars all over the place, some cars very close that I'm sure they were having a hard time opening their doors, some others take up half and half space, some park almost diagonally, etc... quite unorganized. More pros than cons though, it's such a beautiful place that I'm hoping we get the chance to visit again during the summer season.

I was expecting a view of the parking lot. What I got was an amazing view of the great lake Huron where it meets Great lake Michigan. The balcony was Incredible! The gulls would fly up and take bagels right out of our hands!The staff was amicable/ very pleasant. I couldn't find my sons coat anywhere. He told me he left it on the luggage cart. The staff search for it, but it couldn't be found.Later we found it in the far back of our car. My credit and debit cards had fallen out of my bags, my daughter saw this but "forgot' to tell me. The person at the desk told all staff not to enter the room. She made a new key for the room, and sure enough the cards were right where my daughter said they were! I highly recommend Hamilton inn select beach front. I cannot wait for our next trip up-north.

I must say The front desk Clark was quite pleasant. Always had a smile on her face. Willing to answer any questions and give proper information when asking questions. Mis Fifi was quite a pleasant person to meet. The kitchen staff themselves was also pleasant. The house keeping staff say hello with a smile and ask if every think was Okey.. It's a place i will stay at in the future..

The Hamilton Inn far exceeded our expectations. The room on the lakefront was very enjoyable for both me and my husband. The front desk personnel were always helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night/6 day stay there and have recommended it to friends who will be visiting there next year on our recommendation. Wonderful memories of our stay.

Very expensive. Terrible breakfast, along with the tour buses staying there you also had to compete with the hotel next door for breakfast. One lousy toaster that barely worked, aweful.

Really enjoyed the room and the ability to be on the beach. Having a balcony was great and so soothing. Was a wee chilly in late October but we bundled up and enjoyed the solace. Parking was great. We were close to the door and easy in and out. Breakfast was a madhouse with the run on the island so we opted for the bogo breakfast at Toast a gogo. Appreciate the businesses working together to get discounts for each other. Totally loved that we were in walking distance to the Mackinaw Ferry dock.

The room was very nice and the staff was exceptional. It is located in a wonderful spot. It is very clean and everything is convenient to get to. If I had to say anything negative it would be the hours for breakfast are too short and not what's listed online.

The room was clean & we enjoyed our short stay. We were on the ground floor so all was good but with breakfast on the third floor it was an issue as the elevator was not useable. The breakfast was ok but not the best in our opinion. Would have been nice to have had an egg option but there were two pans of mini pancakes instead of eggs in one.The ladies at the front desk were exceptional. Very friendly & helpful. The grounds were beautiful & the price was right for our stay.

Check in went well. Room is adequate to my needs. A few light issues I noticed, but nothing major. Don't expect a squeaky, clean room. Have not tried the breakfast bar, since reopening. Stay multiple times a year here.

Check in/out was efficient with pleasant staff. The room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. We appreciated being offered a hot breakfast in the morning and the special internet rate made our stay affordable. We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and will continue to stay there when we travel through the UP of Michigan.
