Our room was very nice and all the staff friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi was very iffy and the breakfast was too carb heavy. No eggs and just always pancakes and ham. I understand having to give a set breakfast but adding eggs to the offering would make it much better.

The room was nicely decorated and clean! It was close to the ferry, which was convenient. The employees made us feel welcome and apologized because when we tried to check in, the computer was down. We came back later and all was good. They provided us with restaurant options as well. We would have liked to have been able to purchase snack, drink, and water items from the lobby instead of trying to come up with money for the vending machines, which had limited choices. Thank you

The hospitality here is remarkable. The views of Lake Huron, the Bridge are breathtaking, the beach is wonderful. The location is perfect to the main strip of downtown. It's the premiere place to stay. Totally recommend the Hampton Inn, you won't be disappointed.

Stayed one night for the Labor Day Bridge Walk. Glad that rooms are on inside hall. Comfy bed, and nice to have a balcony over the water. It was a very busy check in Sunday evening & especially busy for check out Monday am before the Bridge Walk. Would have been nice to have a grab & go breakfast & coffee to go since we checked out before breakfast was available to be ready for the walk.

Our stay was really nice for the most part. The breakfast was decent and the rooms were okay too. Outdated but not bad at all. The only complaint I had was that it was very noisy. Lots of stomping and yelling in the halls. So sleeping was not the greatest after 6:00am. So if you are an early bird you would probably be fine, or if you are just a heavy sleeper. I am a very light sleeper so for me it was hard but my husband didnt have a difficult time sleeping. Hope this helps!!

The hotel was very nice and clean. Great location and the staff were great. The room we had was with the hot tub the facet didnt work well and the screen door on the patio didnt open properly. But overall it was a great experience

Friendly staff room was clean will definitely be back!!! Just one suggestion, the balcony rails need to be swept for spiders!!!!! Otherwise it was perfect!!!!!

The room was very nice. We had a lakeside view which was beautiful. However the continental breakfast was very poor. There were no eggs , just a few pancakes and no meat. I would stay in the hotel again but would not partake of the breakfast

It is a beautiful Hotel with great rates. Our room was clean and view was wonderful on the water. Only wish the buffet would been open more than 2 hours we did not get to have breakfast because we got there at 9 and they was putting it all away. Should at least have it until 10.

The hotel overall was great, clean room and friendly service, but the breakfast was a bust. Very limited food options, no yogurt, no fresh fruit (apples oranges bananas) no real butter, no eggs or breakfast meat (there was some ham), no oatmeal, no honey, no strawberry jam just some waffles, pancakes, ham and toasting breads. Compared to every other breakfast Ive had at hotels this one was low quality and disappointing.

On a positive note...Front desk was very friendly. Reasonable price and convenient to ferry and downtown.From the negative perspective, The breakfast was terrible. Between our friends and us we had 5 consecutive days there and every day was thin sliced ham and rubbery pancakes. This was mentioned by several folks at breakfast. In addition one day the staff at the breakfast was not present. We had to go in the back room to get items.Day #2 - we did find him in the back room on the computer vs focus on clients and ensuring the breakfast items were stocked. On 2 occasions I had to ask for coffee and the mugs were gone. The 2nd time he seemed irritated I even bothered him to do his minimal job requirements. Again, he was on the computer. Typically, when I am at hotels the breakfast personnel is very present stocking, cleaning tables, greeting guests, etc. The breakfast itself, with the same items , no variety for our multi night stay and bad quality hot foods was the main reason I would possibly not recommend the hotel.

I have stay at this property several times over several years. The breakfast was extremely disappointing. Only pancakes and ham as breakfast option. No cereal or eggs, sausage or bacon. Thankful fruit was there. Never saw anyone working or replenishing food or greeting guests in breakfast room. Our room was clean but showed signs of wear and tear. Large hole in slider screen door covered in masking like tape with some holes still exposed. We love the property and will continue to stay there and hope it improves.

Everything was fine. The front desk was well-staffed when we checked in. One employee was very thorough and courteous with the couple she was assisting. The employee who assisted us was not friendly, did not seem to enjoy what she was doing, and seemed incapable of a smile. Maybe shed had a rough day Or its been a long season. So we try to always give a person a break. But its not the most pleasant way to start a visit.

Nice propertycheck in process was ridiculously long and disorganized though.they need some kind of texting process to let you know when your room is ready. Folks were sitting in the lobby at 6 pm waiting for their room to finally be ready. Understanding that this was the end of the holiday weekend, but institute some kind of process so that folks can be walking around town and exploring rather than sitting in the lobby waiting. Or standing in line waiting.

Our hotel stay was great. The hotel was clean and run quite well. What we didnt like was the crap stores at Mackinaw Crossing. Every clothing store carried the same low grade merchandise, and whats up with all the wine tasting stores. What happened to all the stores with the great merchandise? It used to be great going store to store to check out all the great merchandise that each store carried. You only have one store in this category. We were very disappointed and are not planning to return to Mackinaw City.

Front desk employees were super-friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Lobby and our room were both very clean, although the textured floor of the (older) bathtub could use some elbow grease with a Magic Eraser. Room was spaciouslarger than we expectedwith a balcony overlooking the lake. Convenient to the ferry and to the shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and stay again.
